Shoulder to Shoulder? Cooperation and Competition in the Life Sciences

International Workshop of the Research Group

On November 15-16, our DFG-Research Group "Cooperation and Competition in the Sciences" will host an international workshop on Shoulder to Shoulder? Cooperation and Competition in the Life Sciences.

Keynote speaker is Soraya de Chadarevian (UCLA) who will speak on Cooperation and Competition in the Early History of the Human Genome Project: Narratives and Counternarratives.

Other speakers include Doogab Yi (Seoul National University), Axel Jansen (GHI Washington), and Alexander von Schwerin (MPIWG Berlin).

Already on Thursday, November 14, Miguel Garcia-Sancho (Edinburgh) will speak on Did the Human Genome Project Exist? Historical Cartographies of Genomics at the Fall of the Twentieth Century.
